£38,316 to £42,152 depending on experience (pay award pending). Full time (37 hours a week) all year round with 29 days holiday + Bank Holidays. Work vehicle provided if required.
About the role
We’re seeking a professionally qualified Electrician to join our Estates team as we build new in‑house services for our schools. Reporting to the Estates Manager, you’ll provide high‑quality electrical maintenance, inspection and installation support, ensuring all systems remain fully compliant and operating at their best. From installing and servicing electrical systems to fault‑finding and repairs, your expertise will help keep our buildings running smoothly day to day. You’ll also take ownership of essential tasks such as emergency lighting testing, PAT testing and completing remedial works identified through inspections, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrical professional to join our Estates team, helping to keep our schools safe, compliant and running smoothly. You’ll bring an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), along with strong knowledge of current wiring regulations and hands‑on experience in a commercial maintenance environment. Confident in fault‑finding, testing and installation work, you’ll be comfortable interpreting drawings and technical information, using test equipment, and delivering high‑quality electrical services across a variety of settings. With essential qualifications including 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing, you’ll also hold an ECS Gold Card and bring a strong commitment to safe working practices. Driving licence required.
