Ascend Talent are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter / Heavy Machinery Mechanic to join a rapidly growing team covering the North of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family-owned plant machinery specialist that is expanding its engineering team and investing heavily in its people. The Role

  • Visiting customer sites across the North
  • Diagnosing faults on plant machinery
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing
  • Completing breakdown repairs
  • Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Providing excellent customer support and representing the business professionally

You'll be joining a skilled mobile engineering team where every day brings something different.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with industrial plant machinery or heavy equipment
  • NVQ or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overnight stays when required
  • Full UK driving licence
