Take full responsibility for the leadership, management, and development of a children’s home in Enfield. Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, promoting a positive and therapeutic care environment.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
  • Ensure care plans are effectively implemented, regularly reviewed, and tailored to individual needs.
  • Lead on Ofsted inspections, ensuring the home is always inspection-ready.
  • Recruit, supervise, appraise, and develop staff, ensuring appropriate training and CPD.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, and on-call arrangements to maintain safe and effective care.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and up-to-date records and documentation.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of care through audits, feedback, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Work in partnership with external agencies, families, and professionals to support young people.
  • Oversee the home’s budget and resources to ensure effective and sustainable operation.
