About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist children's residential care provider for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a residential children's home in Nottingham.

You will play a key role in ensuring children and young people receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care while supporting the staff team and maintaining strong regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the home.
Assist in ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
Supervise, support and motivate the residential care team.
Assist with care planning, reviews and accurate record keeping.
Monitor incidents, safeguarding concerns and complaints.
Support staff with challenging situations and day-to-day decision-making.
Work closely with social workers, families and other professionals.
Assist with preparation for Ofsted inspections.
Support audits, quality monitoring and continuous improvement.
Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
Act as the senior person on shift when required.
Requirements Previous experience within children's residential care.
Experience in a senior care or supervisory position.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's legislation.
Relevant Level 3/4 qualification in Children's Services, Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to support and motivate a team.
Good understanding of Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
A Level 5 qualification, or willingness to work towards one, is desirable.
