About the Role We are recruiting compassionate, reliable and experienced Enhanced Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults with complex, healthcare and palliative needs in their own homes.

Clients may have physical disabilities, spinal cord injuries, tracheostomies, ventilation needs, PEG/RIG feeding, catheter or complex bowel care needs, and life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

Promote dignity, independence, choice and quality of life.

Support with personal care, continence, mobility, transfers and pressure-area care.

Assist with nutrition, hydration and medication in line with care plans and competency.

Provide palliative and end-of-life care and recognise changes in condition.

Where trained and competent, support with tracheostomy care, suction, ventilation, PEG/RIG feeding, catheter and complex bowel care.

Support clients with spinal cord injuries and autonomic dysreflexia where required.

Monitor health and escalate concerns or emergencies promptly.

Maintain accurate care records, medication records and daily notes.

Work professionally with families and healthcare professionals.

Follow safeguarding, infection-control, health & safety and confidentiality procedures.

Work strictly within your training, competency and authorisation.

Essential Requirements Previous professional adult care experience.

Experience in complex care, domiciliary care, healthcare, palliative care or physical disability support is desirable.

Care Certificate, Level 2 Adult Care/Health & Social Care or equivalent experience desirable.

Understanding of person-centred care, dignity, safeguarding and consent.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Reliable, compassionate and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to follow detailed care plans and emergency procedures.

Willingness to complete specialist training and competency assessments.

Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Satisfactory enhanced DBS and relevant pre-employment checks.

Desirable Specialist Experience Experience or qualifications in tracheostomy and suction, ventilation, PEG/RIG feeding, catheter care, complex bowel care, spinal injury care, autonomic dysreflexia, palliative care, medication administration and moving & handling would be advantageous.

Training & Support Successful candidates will receive induction, shadow shifts, client-specific training, competency assessments, ongoing supervision and professional development.

Please note: Specialist clinical procedures must only be undertaken following appropriate training, assessment and formal competency sign-off.
