About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective running of a residential care service in Manchester.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care while leading and developing the staff team.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations.

Ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care.

Supervise and support care staff.

Monitor care plans, risk assessments and daily records.

Assist with safeguarding, incidents and complaints.

Support CQC compliance and internal audits.

Assist with staff recruitment, induction and training.

Liaise with families and external professionals.

Lead the service in the Registered Manager's absence.

Contribute to ongoing quality improvements.

Requirements

Previous experience within residential care.

Experience in a senior care or supervisory position.

Understanding of safeguarding and CQC requirements.

Relevant Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Level 4/5 qualification is desirable.
