Ascend Airways | MCC Liaison Engineer X4 Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience. 12hr 5×5 – Days & Nights £86,000 + £4,000 Performance based bonus Start Date: ASAP With a newly acquired UK AOC Ascend Airways are operating a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick in early 2024. The company is part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, operating a fleet of 221 aircraft on 6 continents. The group also provides a range of aviation services: MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, ground handling, as well as a variety of associated aviation services. Supported by 14,000 highly skilled aviation professionals, the group is parent company to over 250+ subsidiaries The MCC Liaison Engineer is part of an on-site team at London Gatwick liaising between Ascend Airways and the contracted Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO). With a clear focus on managing the Fleet maintenance requirements, scheduled work, defect management and coordinating any Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations that arise at base or down route. RESPONSIBILITIES: Acting as the focal point for day-to-day Fleet Technical Operations, 24/7. Liaising and overseeing contracted MRO’s, ensuring that service and requirements are fulfilled. Onsite Liaison for Base maintenance inputs and lease transitions. Sourcing spares required for Scheduled Maintenance, Defect Rectification, ADD’s and AOG situations in conjunction with the Procurement Team. Working closely with the MRO to efficiently manage and rectify all ADD’s. Updating, distributing, and discussing Aircraft Daily Status Reports. Ensuring organisation procedures, standards and interfaces are followed. Working with Technical Services, ensuing that Technical Delay Reports are raised to capture any repetitive defects/reliability items. Coordinating AOG Situations at Aircraft bases and overseas. Attending aircraft arrival, departure, and transits as necessary. Arranging and attending meetings as appropriate to the job role. Ensuring all arising issues are reported to the Engineering Station Manager. Ensuring safety and compliance are always maintained. Review and issue of Work Orders, Work Requests and Daily Status to MRO’s. Review of completed Work Orders, Technical Log Pages, and Paperwork returns. Communicating across a wide range of Internal departments on a regular basis providing updated on operational issues as required. REQUIREMENTS: B1/B2 Licence (UKCAA/EASA) Min 5 Year Experience on Boeing 737 NG (MAX Desirable) In a similar role (Liaison Engineer or Maintenance Control Engineer) Strong understanding of engineering process and procedures Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Application, Excel & My Boeing Fleet.
