Full Time – London Gatwick UK

With a newly acquired UK AOC Ascend Airways are operating a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick in early 2024.

The company is part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, operating a fleet of 221 aircraft on 6 continents. The group also provides a range of aviation services: MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, ground handling, as well as a variety of associated aviation services. Supported by 14,000 highly skilled aviation professionals, the group is parent company to over 250+ subsidiaries.

Ascend Airways are committed to excellence and providing superior customer service. We are expanding our Flight crew and are excited to invite experienced and motivated First Officers to join us on our journey of growth and success.

The position will be based at London Gatwick and will involve some night-stopping with occasional longer periods up to two weeks away from base during the winter season only. The flying pattern will comprise busy summer months but with quieter winter rosters anticipated, pilots may take additional time off during the winter season to suit their lifestyle.

Requirements:

  • UK CAA ATPL(A) or (f)ATPL(A) with Boeing 737 type rating either current or expired by no more than two years.
  • A minimum of 200 hours on Boeing 737 aircraft.
  • UK / EASA Class 1 medical certificate, without restrictions (other than for spectacles/contact lenses).
  • Age Limits – up to 65, in line with current legislation.
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK
  • The ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English
