As a result of Trust expansion, this newly created role is responsible for Procurement and Contract management across the ASCAT portfolio - currently 14 schools and a central office within South West Hertfordshire.
The Trust is looking for an effective individual who can ensure that current and future contracts reflect value for money and are delivered with integrity and sustainability, whilst ensuring the Trust operates robust financial and procurement governance in line with the requirements of The Procurement Act 2023, the Academy Trust Handbook, and other relevant internal and external policies and legislation.
The ideal candidate will be someone with wide experience, who can demonstrate strong commercial acumen, and is skilled in tendering, negotiation and supplier management. Previous procurement experience in the public or education sector would be an advantage, however, applications with relevant transferable skills gained in other industries will be warmly received.

This post is initially advertised at 22.5 hours per week, with working weeks (options are: term time plus or all year round) to be discussed at interview.
