A Quality Manager opportunity has arisen within a well-established specialist manufacturing business supplying products into a diverse range of established and growing engineering sectors. Leading the Quality function, you'll take ownership of the Quality Management System, develop the Quality team and work closely with customers and Operations to improve quality performance and drive continuous improvement.
This opportunity could also suit an experienced Senior Quality Engineer looking to take the next step into Quality Management.
Quality Manager responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of the Quality Management System and driving its continued development.
- Leading customer, certification and internal audits, ensuring required quality standards are maintained.
- Leading and developing the Quality team, including Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians.
- Reviewing customer 8D reports, corrective actions and the effective use of Automotive Core Tools.
- Managing Quality KPIs, Management Reviews, procedures, Control Plans and supporting quality documentation.
- Working closely with customers and Operations to reduce defects, improve process capability and drive continuous improvement.
Quality Manager desirable skills and experience:
- Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working within an IATF 16949 automotive manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of Automotive Core Tools including PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.
- Experience supporting or leading customer, certification and internal audits.
- Strong customer-facing skills with experience managing quality issues and corrective actions.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to quality improvement and problem solving.
