A career opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a successful automotive OEM in a Value Engineering role. Get to add value across a range of components and processes within all vehicle model platforms, applying key techniques to provide design optimisation, resourcing and supplier negotiations. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the business to identify and implement Value Engineering initiatives in Powertrain, Chassis, and Electrical components.

The position will include engagement with new international suppliers, where strong technical judgement and collaborative problem-solving skills will be crucial. The successful candidate will also be expected to champion best practices within the team.

Responsibilities include the delivery of engineering solutions that support the continuous improvement in the value of current production and development vehicles, then delivering these projects to the 'business defined' time, cost, quality, and specification requirements, consistent with the high regard given to customer ownership experience.
