Due to continued growth, a global manufacturer of products used in scientific research applications is seeking a skilled Maintenance Toolmaker to join their team

***35,000-40,000 DOE + Mon-Fri working + BUPA + Bonus + Life Assurance + Pension 5%***

Based in the Toolroom working with other team members, you will support the production department with the timely turnaround of cleaning and servicing of Injection moulding tools.

As a Toolmaker, your duties will include :

  • Daily servicing & cleaning of mould tools in the tool room or in the factory.
  • Carrying out the repairs, modifications and servicing of injection moulding tools and other associated tooling.
  • Document service & repair work by completing electronic records, including photographs of issues documented.
  • Assist in equipment repairs and breakdown if required.

To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of Manual and CNC machine tools to include all or some of the following: Surface Grinder, CNC, VMC, Milling and Centre Lathe
  • Hold a C&G\’s, NVQ or be Apprenticeship trained
  • Possess solid experience in mechanical assembly & disassembly and basic wiring.
  • Be able to read and understand 2D component Drawings and wiring drawings
