- Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical machinery inspections, servicing and repair programmes.
- Diagnose complex mechanical faults and carry out root‑cause investigations.
- Assess machinery condition and recommend appropriate repairs or engineering modifications.
- Support the design and modification of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Apply knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication and mechanical assembly techniques.
- Supervise workshop and customer‑site engineering activities.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' relevant mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong background within industrial machinery, heavy engineering or a related engineering service environment.
- Experience with machinery inspection, servicing, repair and fault diagnosis.
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing techniques.
- Able to diagnose challenging mechanical faults and carry out basic electrical fault finding.
- Experience producing professional technical engineering reports.
- Comfortable working across both workshop and customer‑site environments.
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- IEng status would be advantageous.
- Relevant site safety certification would be beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility for UK travel, occasional overnight stays and out‑of‑hours work when required.
