A specialist manufacturer of high-quality technical components to a range of industries such as Aerospace, Automotive and Healthcare is seeking a Plastic Injection Moulding Setter to join their team, working a day shift Monday to Friday.
With a background spanning 50 years, this business offers a complete outsourcing service to their customers. This role will be responsible for the technical aspect of production, by setting injection moulding machines, tools, ancillaries, materials, and working with operators to achieve the manufacturing plans and performance objectives as required.
As an Injection Moulding Setter your duties will include:
- Carrying tool/material/colour changes and condition setting machines.
- Investigating, diagnosing and troubleshooting moulding process issues.
- Conducting tool and material trials.
- Ensuring ‘first off’ products are produced to the required quality specification before production commences and carry out routine visual quality checks during the production run.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team where you may carry out tasks outside of your core skills e.g. PPAP, CPK, feasibility studies, CI projects, New Product Introductions.
To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will:
- Have significant experience in plastic injection moulding as a Setter or Technician.
- Take a scientific approach to processing.
- Preferably hold moulding qualifications (IMT, BPTA, PTIC, RJG, G&A, NVQ).
- Have basic machine and ancillary equipment maintenance experience.
Based near Braintree, this role is commutable from Harlow, Chelmsford, Sudbury, Bishop’s Stortford, Basildon, Haverhill and all surrounding areas.
