A Quality Engineer opportunity has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying precision components into the global aerospace sector. Working closely with customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams, you'll manage non-conformances, maintain the Quality Management System, support New Product Introduction (NPI) and drive improvements in product and process quality.
Quality Engineer responsibilities include -
- Maintaining and auditing the QMS in line with AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Investigating non-conformances, customer returns and concessions through to resolution.
- Supporting NPI through APQP, PPAP submissions, FMEAs and control plans.
- Completing internal, supplier and special process audits, including NADCAP activities.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, production and inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
- Monitoring quality performance and driving improvement through 8D, process capability analysis and corrective actions.
Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -
- Previous Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer or similar experience.
- Experience within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Internal auditing experience, ideally with AS9100 training or IATF 16949.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, control plans.
