A Quality Engineer opportunity has become available with an established automotive manufacturer investing in the expansion of an existing manufacturing site and new automated production equipment.
This is an exciting opportunity to help establish quality processes, support new product introduction, implement APQP activities and help shape quality standards within a growing manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of APQP and core tools across the expanding manufacturing facility.
- Leading customer complaints, non-conformance investigations and 8D problem‑solving activities to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Driving scrap reduction, rework reduction and continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing quality.
- Creating and maintaining quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEAs, work instructions and inspection standards.
- Supporting internal audits, customer quality requirements and Quality Management System compliance.
- Training and supporting production staff to ensure quality standards, processes and best practices are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a Quality Engineer position within a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of quality core tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Experience leading 8D investigations and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across production, engineering and customer teams.
