As part of this ongoing success, they are looking to appoint a Production Manager to lead a team of approximately 30 employees within a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
The Role
Reporting into senior operations leadership, you will take ownership of daily manufacturing performance, ensuring targets for safety, quality, delivery and productivity are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a visible presence on the shop floor, supporting, coaching and developing your team while driving operational excellence across the department.
Working closely with planning, engineering and quality functions, you will oversee production activities, manage resource allocation and help deliver continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key areas of responsibility for the Production Manager will include:
- Leading and motivating a team of around 30 employees across a shift-based manufacturing operation.
- Driving performance across safety, quality, delivery and productivity measures.
- Managing production schedules and workflow to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- Developing team capability through coaching, training and performance management.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities to improve operational performance.
- Supporting problem-solving activities and driving corrective actions to address manufacturing and quality issues.
- Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant production environment.
- Working collaboratively with engineering, planning, quality and wider operational teams to achieve business objectives.
