A Panel Wirer opportunity has arisen with an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Leicester. Supplying bespoke engineered products and systems to customers across a range of demanding industries, the company continues to invest in its people, technology, and production capability. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to support the build, wiring, and testing of electrical control systems. In return, the successful individual will receive a salary of up to £45,000, ongoing training and development, varied project work and long-term career opportunities within a growing business.

Panel Wirer responsibilities include:

  • Wiring and assembling electrical control panels from engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Installing electrical components including relays, contactors, PLCs, drives and associated control equipment.
  • Carrying out electrical testing, inspection and fault finding on completed assemblies.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying wiring, assembly, and component-related issues.
  • Supporting installation, commissioning and modification activities where required.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to required quality and safety standards.

Panel Wirer desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in similar role - Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Fitter, Control Panel Builder etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Experience wiring industrial control panels and electrical equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent industry experience.
