Part of a global conglomerate, an SME that specialises in the manufacture of materials handling equipment is now seeking a qualified HSE Advisor to join their team. Covering multiple sites, this newly created position will ensure a continued focus on adherence to up-to-date health, safety and environment legislation. Currently covered by a number of quality and operations specialists, you will free their time and become the go-to person for all health, safety and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities
- To provide expert, professional health and safety advice, guidance, and support to all interested parties.
- To support the company in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and other requirements inclusive of our ISO certified HSE Management Systems.
- Work in collaboration with operational departments to ensure all activities have been adequately risk assessed, with safe systems of work been agreed, communicated, and understood.
- Support operational departments in ensuring COSHH compliance including the maintenance of the company COSHH register.
- Assist with and/or complete regular formal safety inspections and internal audits as required across all depots and field-based operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- A formally recognised Health and Safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a minimum.
- Strong communicator and the ability to positively influence others.
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
