A well-established and highly successful manufacturer supplying plastic products to the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its growing engineering team. Salary up to £45,000, Day shift, 5% pension, Private Medical Insurance, 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.

Working on a permanent day shift, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of production machinery, while also supporting the upkeep of the site's facilities. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to play a key part in the company's continued expansion.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

  • Install and commission production machinery
  • Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs
  • Perform both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Develop, implement, and improve planned maintenance schedules
  • Support general building and facilities maintenance as required

To be successful in the Maintenance Technician role, you will:

  • Be a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias
  • Have experience maintaining plastic manufacturing or processing equipment, including injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, or thermoforming machinery, or possess strong experience maintaining large industrial presses
  • Have a proven background in machinery installation, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive fault diagnosis
  • Be a proactive problem-solver with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
