A globally renowned manufacturer of automation equipment is now seeking a HSE Officer to assist with the day-to-day management of the HSE function within the business. With a focus on best practice and continuous improvement, the new HSE Officer will be joining a well-established team. This is a newly created position due to continued company growth, into a business that is constantly striving to be the market leader.

HSE Officer Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert, professional health and safety advice, guidance, and support to all interested parties.
  • To support the company in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and other requirements inclusive of our ISO certified HSE Management Systems.
  • Review LOLER & PUWER statutory inspections, and action open issues with correct priority.
  • Work in collaboration with operational departments to ensure all activities have been adequately risk assessed, with safe systems of work being agreed, communicated, and understood.
  • Support operational departments in ensuring COSHH compliance including the maintenance of the company COSHH register.
  • Assist with and/or complete regular formal safety inspections and internal audits as required across all depots and field-based operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of a HSE Officer:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • A formally recognised Health and Safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Strong communicator and the ability to positively influence others.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
