We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Key Account Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded UK-based manufacturing business. Recognised for delivering precision-engineered solutions to a diverse international customer base across demanding, highly regulated industries, the company is experiencing continued growth.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Key Account Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of strategically important customers, with a primary focus on strengthening existing relationships, identifying new opportunities and maximising long-term revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts, building long-term, commercially strong relationships.
- Identify and develop opportunities for growth within existing accounts, including new projects, programmes and applications.
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring customers receive a responsive and technically credible service.
- Interpret and clarify complex customer requirements, translating them into commercially viable technical solutions.
- Manage the preparation and negotiation of quotations, proposals and commercial agreements.
- Negotiate and implement long-term agreements covering design, manufacture and supply.
- Work closely with Design, Production, Procurement and Business Development to ensure customer requirements are delivered effectively.
About the Ideal Key Account Manager
- Proven experience in a technical sales or key account management environment, ideally within aerospace, oil & gas, defence or a similarly regulated industry.
- Strong track record of developing and growing strategic customer accounts.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities and convert customer relationships into long-term business.
- Technically minded, with the confidence to engage with engineers, procurement teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experienced in managing complex sales cycles, quotations, negotiations and long-term supply agreements.
