A leading manufacturer is looking for an experienced Logistics Administrator to join their busy operations team. As a Logistics Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating UK and international shipments, ensuring products are delivered safely, on time and in the most cost-effective manner. Working closely with multiple departments, you will manage transport arrangements, prepare export documentation and provide outstanding customer service while ensuring compliance with shipping and customs regulations.
Your duties will include:
- Coordinate the dispatch of UK and international customer orders, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in line with agreed lead times.
- Arrange cost-effective transport solutions and manage relationships with freight providers, customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Prepare and process all transport and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and shipping legislation.
- Manage customer enquiries and provide administrative support to the sales team, delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Coordinate warehouse pick and pack priorities to ensure efficient order fulfilment and dispatch.
- Produce and analyse weekly and monthly KPI reports to support operational performance and continuous improvement.
To be successful in the role of Logistics Administrator, you will have:
- Previous experience within a logistics, transport, shipping or supply chain coordination role.
- Strong customer service and administrative experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with customers, suppliers, freight providers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with ERP system experience desirable; previous Sage experience would be advantageous.
