A manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Assistant to support in- and out-bound logistics flows at a modern production facility in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large-scale manufacturing operation on a contract basis. You will play a key role in organising material requirements planning, controlling inventory accuracy, and managing supplier performance while helping to optimise long-term warehouse and delivery workflows.
Responsibilities
- Organising material requirements planning (MRP) and production scheduling
- Controlling inventory accuracy and auditing stock levels within the warehouse
- Managing in- and out-bound flows of finished goods, consumables, and components
- Tracking supplier performance metrics (such as OTIF - On Time In Full)
- Generating and controlling invoicing for both suppliers and customers
- Maintaining ERP data accuracy and adjusting forecasts based on actual consumption
- Analysing stock data to identify and reduce unused or unnecessary inventory
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the local supply chain department
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Background within the automotive manufacturing sector is highly desirable
- Proven experience independently creating reports, analysing numbers, and identifying operational risks
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to work autonomously on-site
