A Slitter Setter / Operator is required for a steel processing company based in the Dudley area of the West Midlands. It's a great opportunity to join a well-established, reputable steel company during a period of growth, working on a temp to perm basis.

You will be setting and operating slitting lines, as well as operating overhead cranes, driving FLTs, loading / unloading coils and more.

Duties include:

  • Setting and operating slitting lines
  • Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
  • Driving counterbalance FLTs
  • Loading / unloading coils on machine lines

You won’t need an Overhead Crane or FLT licence, but experience of setting and operating slitting lines is required. This position is working mornings and afternoons, rotating weekly; 6am - 2pm (Mon to Fri) / 2pm - 12am (Mon to Thurs) 40 hours per week with paid breaks. Pay £13.64 on both shifts to begin with.
