A world-renowned engineering business that supplies OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across an array of industries is now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. On-site they produce a broad and complex product range, utilising modern-day manufacturing techniques. Supplying to key customers right across the globe, this client is working through a considerable period of growth and is offering a competitive starting salary, flexible working hours, hybrid working, up to 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, and bespoke training.
Engineers with 6 months experience or Project Engineers will be considered; please feel free to apply at any level as this client prioritises personal mindset over anything else.
Mechanical Design Engineer duties include:
- Design simple hand-operating fixtures, through to more complex automated multi-function components and tooling.
- Support resolutions of manufacturing-based concerns relevant to new processes, new products, productivity, waste, quality, and safety.
- Work closely with both suppliers and customers from initial enquiries through to the final launch.
- Liaise with the testing and development teams on new company products.
- Project Planning.
- Design validations, FEA, prototyping β training will be provided if needed.
Mechanical Design Engineer desirable skills and experience:
- Experience working within a similar role / able to use 3D design software.
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Relevant manufacturing/mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
