Join an established engineering business offering an opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to move into a varied Applications Engineer position. This role would suit someone with strong CNC programming and setting experience who enjoys solving technical problems and wants more variety than a traditional production-based CNC position.
You'll work across programming, process development, machine testing, commissioning and customer support, with opportunities to travel internationally as part of the role. Based in the West Midlands, this is a permanent position offering a salary of £40,000 - £45,000.
CNC Applications Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop, write and optimise CNC programs.
- Program and set multi-axis CNC machinery.
- Produce sample components from engineering drawings.
- Develop processes to improve cycle times and machine performance.
- Carry out testing of machinery prior to customer delivery.
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
- Train customers in the operation of equipment.
- Provide ongoing technical and applications support.
- Assist with tooling, time studies and technical requirements.
