A Blanking Line Operator is required for an established steel processing company based in the Burntwood area of the West Midlands, working a permanent afternoon shift. You will be setting and operating a blanking line, processing steel coils to specification. You will also be responsible for associated duties including operating overhead cranes, moving steel around the workplace, feeding the machine lines and stacking blanks on the back end.

Duties of this Blanking Line Operator role include:

  • Setting and operating a blanking line
  • Stacking processed steel blanks
  • Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
  • Loading and unloading steel coils onto the machine line

You will be working a permanent afternoon shift pattern - 1:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 36 hours per week. This Blanking Line Operator role will be working on a temp-to-perm basis with long term opportunities available. The role is paying £14.00 per hour on the afternoon shift, with weekly pay whilst on the agency.
