Health & Safety Manager responsibilities include
- Provide practical HSE guidance across the business and to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work and HSE documentation.
- Coordinate external audits, statutory inspections and company accreditations.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage mandatory training, toolbox talks, fire safety and compliance inspections.
- Maintain audit records, non-conformance reports and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
Health & Safety Manager desirable skills and experience
- Prior experience as a HSE Manager, EHS Manager, SHEQ Manager or Health & Safety Advisor.
- Health and safety experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience producing risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
- ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 auditor trained advantageous.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, or IOSH membership advantageous.
