A Quality Engineer opportunity has become available with a growing aerospace manufacturing business supplying precision engineered components to globally recognised customers. Operating within a highly regulated AS9100 environment, the company continues to invest in its people, systems, and manufacturing capabilities. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Engineer capable of supporting quality systems, customer requirements, FAIR activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business. In return, the successful individual will receive a salary circa £40,000+, quarterly profit share, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work within a business committed to investing in both its people and processes.
Quality Engineer responsibilities include:
- Completing FAIRs, ISIRs and associated customer quality documentation to support production and new product introduction activities.
- Leading root cause investigations, 8D activities and corrective actions relating to internal and external non-conformances.
- Conducting internal and supplier audits whilst supporting customer and third-party audit activities.
- Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and purchase orders to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and achieved.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience:
- Previous experience working within a Quality Engineer position within an aerospace environment.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience completing FAIRs, ISIRs and customer quality documentation packs.
- Proven experience leading root cause investigations using 8D, 5Y or similar methodologies.
- Experience conducting internal audits and supporting customer or supplier quality activities.
Quality Engineer benefits include:
