Due to a continued period of growth, an electrical bias maintenance engineer is required for a huge manufacturing business based in the heart of the Black Country. This business has been at the heart of manufacturing for over 40 years, with a supply chain all across the UK. Moving into 2024, the owners have begun investing millions into the site including new machinery, facilities, and tools.

Responsibilities:
- To provide electrical maintenance to a range of automated and semi-automated machinery, production lines, and ancillary equipment within the plant
- Reactive breakdown maintenance, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
- Electrical repairs to motors, control panels, wiring, drives, inverters, contactors, switches
- PLC fault finding and interrogation
- Ensure adequate spares to support the plans
- Carry out full planned maintenance following a schedule
- Full investigations on breakdowns to determine a root cause
- Provide continuous improvement to maintenance procedures, machine improvements
- Project work, installing new machinery, decommissioning and relocating equipment, and upgrade projects
- Supporting the maintenance manager with facilitating the in-house CMMS
Working hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shift of days in week one, afternoons in week two.
Qualifications:
- Multi-skilled engineer, shift maintenance engineer, or electrical engineer
- Be able to carry out machine tool repairs electrically
- Understand and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Ability to not only follow planned maintenance schedules, but offer up suggestions and improvements to the plans and equipment worked on
- Flexibility to work rotating day shifts Monday to Friday
