You'll work across programming, process development, machine testing, commissioning and customer support, with opportunities to travel internationally as part of the role.
Based in the West Midlands, this is a permanent position offering a salary of £40,000 - £45,000.
CNC Applications Engineer Responsibilities
Develop, write and optimise CNC programs.
Program and set multi-axis CNC machinery.
Produce sample components from engineering drawings.
Develop processes to improve cycle times and machine performance.
Carry out testing of machinery prior to customer delivery.
Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
Train customers in the operation of equipment.
Provide ongoing technical and applications support.
Assist with tooling, time studies and technical requirements.
Contribute to engineering and process improvements.
CNC Applications Engineer Requirements
Strong CNC programming and setting experience.
Experience working with multi-axis CNC machinery.
Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
Good practical engineering and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable dealing directly with customers and explaining technical information.
Willing and able to travel internationally when required.
Previous applications, commissioning or customer-facing experience would be beneficial but isn't essential for someone with the right CNC background.
