An Area Sales Manager is required for a hugely successful OEM of precision CNC machinery, providing metal-cutting solutions to the manufacturing industry.
As the Area Sales Manager, your primary focus is the North of the UK, increasing their market share in all territories, whilst continuing to develop the reputation and company brand values.
Overall, the business has a fantastic infrastructure with support at varying levels including sales, applications, and project managers to give you every opportunity to sell technical solutions to end customers.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for –
- Maintaining and increasing business levels of the group’s products
- Gathering market and customer information to figure out the customer needs
- Providing customers with detailed and accurate quotations
- Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers
- Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base
- Increasing business opportunities
- Developing strategies, forecasts and pipelines of business
- Attend trade fairs, exhibitions and promotional events
- Collecting customer feedback and market research
- Project management on large scale orders
Salary is negotiable for the right person, plus monthly commission with the ability to more than double your salary.
As well as this, the business will guarantee a large portion of commission in year one, target related bonuses, fully expensed company car and fuel card, credit card for expenses, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private pension, life assurance, laptop & phone for fully remote WFH.
Experience in a technical sales role is essential with engineering experience and/or sale of capital equipment within the CNC machine tool industry, would be a big advantage
You will need a genuine interest in the manufacturing industry across your territory, to understand who your target audience will be to aim our products at. Combining sales and customer service you will be the ultimate partner for your customers and to ensure that you and the business are in the foremost of their mind.
Flexibility towards frequent travel to the territory you’d look after is essential, as well as occasional overseas travel for product training and new product launches
