A diverse business specialising in offering manufacturing solutions to customers from an array of industries is undergoing a period of growth. Through acquisition, they continue to expand their port-folio of offerings, turning their SME into a one-stop-shop for their customers. They are now looking for an Account Manager to help drive the company forward as it continues to expand its’ operations.

The Account Manager will be responsible for a high level of internal and external stakeholder communication to ensure customer requirements are understood. You will ensure customer expectations are realistic for delivery and if not, work out if you have the budget and / or know-how to make the right changes required to deliver. You will use your powers of persuasion and influence to empower your colleagues to deliver customer deadlines to the highest quality and within their timescales. You will be a key member of the management team agreeing strategy, setting clear direction, and driving profitability.

As Account Manager your duties will include, but are not limited to –

  • Administrative tasks including; taking orders, checking materials, procurement, planning, shipping and data entry
  • Provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery, including potential for face-to-face visits
  • Proactively identify, implement and develop commercial policies, processes and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date
  • Manage contracts and suppliers, ensuring they deliver demonstrable value for money and meet company goals
  • Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations
  • Conduct negotiations and settle disputes with internal and external parties
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports on financial performance
  • Working with the Marketing team, ensuring a stream of high-quality leads through online and e-mail marketing, driving acquisitions, increasing conversions, improving retention and customer loyalty
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • To be successful in the role of Account Manager, the ideal Candidate will –

  • Be experienced in dealing with stakeholders, leading, and providing solutions to problems
  • Have excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Have financial and commercial awareness
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, internal and external stakeholders
  • Be interested in how the Business functions, with an aptitude for technical understanding – learning about the company’s products
  • Will have proven team leadership, people and performance management experience

  • A basic salary of up to Β£45,000, depending on experience
  • Working 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday
