A CAD Technician opportunity with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in the West Midlands. With continued demand across multiple projects and ongoing investment in engineering capability, the business is seeking a CAD Technician to support project delivery through the creation of accurate technical drawings and documentation. CAD Technician responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed 2D CAD drawings to support manufacturing and project delivery requirements
- Creating and maintaining technical drawing packages and documentation for internal teams
- Generating and updating bills of materials (BOMs) and component data within the ERP system
- Reviewing technical specifications to ensure drawings meet operational and manufacturing requirements
- Working closely with production, engineering and project teams to resolve design queries
- Managing drawing revisions and maintaining accurate document control
CAD Technician desirable skills and experience:
- Experience in a Junior CAD Technician, Design Engineer or Draughtsperson role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong capability producing accurate manufacturing or technical drawings
- Experience working with BOMs, ERP systems and drawing control processes
