A manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Assistant to support in- and out-bound logistics flows at a modern production facility in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large-scale manufacturing operation. You will play a key role in organising material requirements planning, controlling inventory accuracy, and managing supplier performance while helping to optimise long-term warehouse and delivery workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Organising material requirements planning (MRP) and production scheduling
  • Controlling inventory accuracy and auditing stock levels within the warehouse
  • Managing in- and out-bound flows of finished goods, consumables, and components
  • Tracking supplier performance metrics (such as OTIF - On Time In Full)
  • Generating and controlling invoicing for both suppliers and customers
  • Maintaining ERP data accuracy and adjusting forecasts based on actual consumption
  • Analysing stock data to identify and reduce unused or unnecessary inventory
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the local supply chain department

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or logistics environment
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Background within the automotive manufacturing sector is highly desirable
  • Proven experience independently creating reports, analysing numbers, and identifying operational risks
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to work autonomously on-site
