As the Regional Driver Assessor, you won’t just be ticking boxes; you will be coaching, mentoring, and safeguarding the driving team through:

  • Practical Assessments: Conducting vital pre-employment, post-accident, and annual refresher driving assessments to keep the fleet safe.
  • Driver Wellbeing & Psychosocial Evaluation: Looking beyond just mechanical skills - assessing driver decision-making, mindset, and overall mental wellbeing on the road.
  • Coaching & Feedback: Delivering constructive, clear feedback to drivers and line managers, partnering with regional transport trainers to plug skills gaps.
  • Robust Reporting: Utilising Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to maintain crystal-clear assessment data and coordinate schedules with depot stakeholders.

Who Are We Looking For?

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an analytical, supportive, and organised individual who possesses:

  • The Right License: A Class 1 (C+E) license is highly preferred, but we are absolutely open to speaking with exceptional Class 2 (C) license holders looking to step up.
  • A Solid Transport Grounding: Experience assessing commercial drivers, a background in transport compliance, or extensive commercial driving experience (including bus/coach operation).
