An established and highly respected precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join its growing commercial team. Operating within demanding, quality-driven sectors, the business supplies technically complex engineered components to a diverse customer base and is recognised for its commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term customer partnerships.
As a Sales Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between sales, engineering, and production. You will support the delivery of customer projects by ensuring all technical, tooling, and planning requirements are in place for efficient manufacture.
Key responsibilities of a Sales Support Engineer include:
- Creating parts, bills of materials (BOMs), and route plans within the ERP system
- Supporting sales with the preparation of accurate and competitive customer quotations
- Liaising with production and engineering teams to establish best manufacturing practices
- Working with suppliers to raise purchase orders and manage subcontract documentation
- Procuring tooling, jigs, and fixtures in collaboration with internal teams
The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining or precision engineering, combined with the ability to work across both technical and commercial functions.
