Job Description
A Quality Systems Manager opportunity is now available with a growing engineering business that provides bespoke manufacturing solutions to a wide range of high-spec sectors. The company is proud of its collaborative culture, strong leadership, and clear commitment to continuous improvement across its operations. With recent investment into systems, people, and processes, they're looking for someone to take ownership of their Business Management Systems and support wider quality initiatives across the site. The business is in the Birmingham area and offers a salary in the region of £55,000 – £60,000, alongside a bonus scheme, flexible working, development opportunities and long-term growth potential.
Quality Systems Manager responsibilities include –
- Managing, maintaining, and improving the Business Management Systems (BMS).
- Coordinating internal audits, documentation control, and Management Review activities with internal teams.
- Leading external audits and acting as the main contact for third-party certification bodies.
- Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities across departments through internal audits.
- Supporting QA initiatives and contributing to PDCA cycles to enhance system performance.
Quality Systems Manager desirable skills and experience –
- Experience working within a similar role (BMS Manager, QHSE Systems Manager etc).
- Certified Lead Auditor to ISO 9001:2015, good knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, 45001.
- Experience managing or transitioning BMS in SME manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with documentation, process mapping, and compliance standards.
