A Production Operative is required to join a manufacturing company in the Erdington area of Birmingham. You will be responsible for a variety of duties, primarily assembling pre-made jigs, or jigging, components, picking, packing, polishing, cleaning components and more. You will be working with heat treatment tanks and equipment, supplying various companies in the heat treatment and oil & gas industries. The role is a temp to perm contract to begin with, with long-term opportunities available should you do well.
Duties for this Production Operative role include:
- Assembling pre-made jigs with components
- Visual quality inspection of the components
- Packing, and general warehouse duties
Any previous FLT or crane experience is beneficial (but not required). Your role will be working on the day shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) to begin with. Once settled in, there is a chance you may move onto a rotating shift pattern, with morning and afternoon shift pattern, so flexibility to work shifts is beneficial to your application.
