Due to continued growth and expansion, a specialist injection moulding manufacturing business with over 30 years of success, serving industries such as Medical, Automotive and Communications, is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding NPI Engineer. Up to £45,000 + relocation assistance Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-2:30pm.

As an NPI Engineer, you will play a key part in supporting new business development projects and managing product development from concept through to series production, ensuring adherence to and completion of the APQP process.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting design and tooling-related activities for internal cross-functional teams, ensuring NPI projects are delivered on time, in full, and within budget.
  • Taking responsibility for project management of tooling (both in-house and external), from quotation and sourcing through to design, development, and launch into production.
  • Carrying out DFM and Moldflow studies.
  • Travelling both within the UK and overseas to progress projects and manage tooling, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

To be successful in the role of NPI Engineer, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a time-served Project, Tooling, or Design Engineer within injection moulding.
  • Possess strong knowledge of injection mould toolmaking, design, and project management.
  • Have experience with the injection moulding process and a solid understanding of different polymers.
  • Be proficient in 3D CAD, including PMI, as well as 2D drawings.
