A leading plastics manufacturing business, providing a range of specialist engineering services, is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a skilled precision engineering environment, manufacturing and assembling bespoke injection mould tooling solutions.

Working as part of an experienced precision engineering team, you will use your technical knowledge, precision engineering skills and problem-solving ability to manufacture, assemble, modify and maintain a range of injection mould tooling.

As an Injection Moulding Toolmaker, your duties will include:

  • Machining components to a high standard using a range of conventional toolroom machinery
  • Manufacturing complete mould tools and modular tooling systems in a variety of steels and alloys
  • Assembly, fitting and bench work of mould tooling components
  • Carrying out modifications, refurbishment and improvements to existing mould tooling
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing mould tools to ensure optimum performance
  • Manufacturing jigs, fixtures and tooling to support the wider mould shop
  • Working from technical drawings and specifications to ensure components are manufactured to the required tolerances and standards

To be successful in the Toolmaker role, you will:

  • Be a time-served Toolmaker with extensive experience manufacturing and working with injection mould tools
  • Have strong bench fitting and assembly experience within an injection mould tooling environment
  • Be able to confidently read and interpret detailed technical drawings
  • Have proven experience using standard toolroom machinery, including surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, manual lathes and milling machines
