A leading international logistics and circular economy organisation is looking for a Logistics Compliance Auditor to support operational standards across its depot and manufacturing network. This is a field-based role covering sites across Southern England, with quarterly audit visits to Ireland. The position would suit someone with experience in quality assurance, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics or operational compliance who enjoys working independently and spending time on-site.
The Role
- Auditing quality, operational performance, health & safety compliance and inventory accuracy across multiple locations.
- Conducting quality inspections of new and repaired equipment/products against internal and industry standards.
- Auditing compliance with PEFC, ISPM15 and other operational requirements.
- Reviewing depot performance metrics, including stock accuracy, productivity and damage rates.
- Carrying out stock counts and inventory audits.
- Identifying non-conformances and supporting corrective action plans.
- Delivering guidance and training to site teams where improvements are required.
- Supporting SHEQ compliance and promoting safe working practices across the network.
- Producing audit reports and maintaining accurate records.
Travel Requirements
- This is a high-travel role and applicants must be comfortable with regular travel throughout the Newport-Thurrock territory.
- Frequent overnight stays when required.
- Lone working and autonomous diary management.
- Quarterly trips to Ireland lasting approximately 3-4 days.
Note: A company vehicle and all business travel expenses are provided.
About You
- At least 2 years' experience within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, quality assurance or a similar operational environment.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working independently.
- The ability to influence and challenge operational teams when standards are not being met.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable experience includes:
- Quality or compliance auditing.
- SHEQ processes.
- Industrial packaging or supply chain equipment manufacturing.
- SAP or similar business systems.
