Job Description

We are working in partnership with a long-established and highly respected manufacturer specialising in highway infrastructure solutions. Operating from a modern manufacturing facility, the company prides itself on delivering premium UK-made products with fast turnaround times and exceptional technical support. Their collaborative approach ensures clients receive tailored solutions backed by expert guidance throughout the design, supply, and installation process. They are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure their production facility continues to provide on-time-in-full support.

Maintenance Engineer daily duties

  • Carry out routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on production equipment.
  • Conduct PUWER and LOLER compliance checks to ensure systems are always maintained.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests.
  • Support the development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, logistics, and quality teams to minimise downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procedures and mentor junior engineers.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PUWER, LOLER, DSEAR, and machinery safety legislation.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications are desirable (training provided if required).
