33 days holiday including bank holidays + comprehensive benefits package About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Sustainability & ESG Manager to take ownership of the UK sustainability agenda for a major national supply chain and logistics business. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to an established sustainability or ESG professional who can develop strategy, influence senior stakeholders and turn sustainability objectives into measurable improvements across a multi-site operational network. You will have genuine ownership of the company's ESG strategy, environmental compliance, reporting and sustainability initiatives, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams across the UK. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver the UK Sustainability & ESG strategy and roadmap. Own environmental performance and sustainability initiatives across multiple UK sites. Manage ISO 14001 requirements, audits and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, waste regulations and licensing. Develop and monitor ESG and environmental KPIs, using data to identify improvement opportunities. Lead annual ESG and sustainability reporting, including supporting EcoVadis performance. Develop and support a network of site-based Sustainability Champions. Lead projects designed to reduce environmental impact, improve efficiency and deliver commercial benefits. Assess and monitor supplier ESG performance. Provide senior management with clear reporting, recommendations and insight. Keep the business informed of changes to environmental legislation and ESG best practice. Build strong relationships with operational teams, suppliers and external stakeholders. About You We are looking for an experienced Sustainability, ESG or Environmental professional with the confidence to take ownership of a UK-wide sustainability agenda. You will ideally have: Several years' experience in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental or CSR roles. Experience developing and implementing sustainability strategies or programmes. Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, environmental legislation and compliance. Experience working across multiple sites or within a complex operational environment. Strong data analysis, reporting and project management skills. Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and operational teams. A commercially aware approach to sustainability, with the ability to demonstrate measurable business benefits. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
