They are now hiring a Field Service Engineer supporting all major industries, helping customers achieve greater precision, efficiency, and productivity. Reporting to the UK Service Manager, this is a national position supporting customers with installation, maintenance, and technical service on their high-performance machinery.
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools both electrically and mechanically.
- Install, commission, and formally hand over new CNC equipment at customer sites.
- Deliver operator training covering machine use and routine maintenance.
- Provide ongoing after-sales, technical, and application support to customers.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive breakdown support.
- Feedback on technical findings and service insights to internal departments and the factory.
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to ensure high service standards.
Field Service Engineer Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience working as a Field Service Engineer.
- Electrical and electronic systems.
- Mechanical engineering principles.
- HND qualification or equivalent time-served engineering background.
- Previous experience within machine tools or metal-forming equipment environments.
Salary up to £40,000 (with allowances and overtime, the engineer will earn £50,000) ~ Company vehicle ~ 25 days annual leave plus.
