A Birmingham based food company is looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to work at their headquarters. You will be working for an established, successful business that has had roots in Birmingham for decades. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for the availability and performance of the groups IT systems, covering servers, switches and telecoms. You will also be tasked with problem resolution and proactive maintenance of infrastructure equipment. Responsibilities will include: 1st Line Support Working within the IT team, responding to incident and problem tickets on helpdesk software. Managing and maintaining the Windows Server and Active Directory environments. Managing virtualisation technologies like Hyper-V and VMWare. Network management. Supporting users on desktop applications. Liaising with 3rd party companies or contractors to resolve issues where required. Training staff on IT systems.
