They are now hiring a Field Service Engineer to support customers with installation, maintenance, and technical service on their high-performance machinery across the UK. Their equipment supports major industries including automotive, aerospace, furniture, HVAC, and structural fabrication, helping customers achieve greater precision, efficiency, and productivity.
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools both electrically and mechanically
- Install, commission, and formally hand over new CNC equipment at customer sites
- Deliver operator training covering machine use and routine maintenance
- Provide ongoing after-sales, technical, and application support to customers
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive breakdown support
- Feedback technical findings and service insights to internal departments and the factory
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to ensure high service standards
Field Service Engineer Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working as a Field Service Engineer on CNC machinery
- In-depth technical expertise across:
- CNC control systems (Siemens experience preferred)
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Mechanical engineering principles
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
