A Fabricator / Plater is required to join a large manufacturing engineering company based in Cheslyn Hay, specialising in structural steelwork. This position is a great opportunity to join a well-established company on a temp-to-perm role, with the company looking for an employee to join for the long term.
You will be fabricating and plating framework, and similar structural steel projects, from CAD generated drawings. The materials will be pre-prepped and ready to assemble. This is primarily a fabrication / plating role, though you may also be MIG welding when required.
The duties of this role include:
- Fabrication of heavy structural steel and building framework
- Working with a variety of materials, primarily mild steel
- Working from CAD generated engineering drawings and job specs
- Full fabrication including drilling, cutting shaping steel when required
- MIG welding to a high standard when required
This role will be working straight days: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays). The pay rate for this role is £14.50 per hour. Overtime available - Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
