A leading automotive manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Expeditor to join its team.
Operating within a fast-paced production environment, the company supplies high-quality manufactured components to a broad customer base and is committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement and outstanding customer service.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of raw materials into production.
Working closely with suppliers and internal departments, you will play a key part in maintaining material availability, minimising supply chain risks and supporting the ongoing development of a new ERP/MRP system.
As the Expeditor, you will be responsible for - Managing the inbound supply of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production and material availability.
Expediting supplier deliveries, monitoring MRP requirements and recovering overdue deliveries to minimise production disruption.
Monitoring inventory levels, safety stock and lead times, proactively identifying shortages and implementing contingency plans where required.
Liaising daily with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, capacity constraints, shipment progress and overall performance.
